WEEK 16 - Tuesday, 01/06/10, Pick out.

It was my birthday and while it was not a particularly significant event at my age, I still wished that we had a back up that could slot in so I could spend the evening with my family.

Alas with Dux already filling for Pick in Vegas and Pup with more reasons than I to want a night off, it was off to our home on the Yamaharley (XVS 650 Classic) to face the Bidwell Boys in our backyard.

Morris was in the team (I don't recall him playing last time) and The Bidwell Boys gave us a measly 27.5 at the top, with Rach giving us the 7.5 at the bottom.

Rach was sick as a dog but showed and asked to play all her games in succession, which the Bidwell Boys kindly agreed to.

As they wanted to be clear about the margin, we agreed to add the bottom to the top and we started 35 in front.

The first round was a horror, with Hooters and Dux losing on the black and only CB picking up a win. Courtesy of some narrow losses, we remained 27 in front.

The 2nd was like a replay of the first, except there were no black ball losses to supplement CB's 10-0 effort, so we were 15 in front going into the 3rd.

In the 3rd, Hooters and CB lost on the black with Diddy taking a turn at winning a game and now the margin was just 4 with 2 rounds still to play.

Hooters and CB lost black ball games and Pup took a turn at winning a game as we drifted to 8 points behind, going into the final round.

Hooters lost on the black ball while Pup, Dux and CB won their final round games.

Alas it was close, but not enough, as the Cobras lost their first home game by the tiniest of margins.

The Cobras remain 4 from 7 wins away, but lose their perfect home record, now 8 wins from 9 starts at the Snakepit, with a 75.00% win/loss record (12 wins and 4 losses).
